walkathon day !!!
Mood:  energetic
Topic: lazy thoughts
yes, its the walkathon day today! but,it rained heavily this morning before the event. mummy was afraid i'll fall ill, besides, she knows i hate water...so she decided that we'll start the walkathon later.
however, many pets & their owners started the walkathon despite the pouring rain...
and so, we started 15mins later than the rest...
in the end, tho' i finished the walkathon, i decided not to join my paw friends in the field, because i know that it'll be soggy & wet...hmmmm....
i'll take a raincheck on that *giggle*

a couch potato's challange
Mood:  energetic
Topic: lazy thoughts
mummy wanted my opinion to take part in a dog's charity walkathon...for every 100metre i walked, mummy will donate $10 to a certain welfare association,in an effort to raise awareness on the plight of abused, homeless and abandoned animals...
i said : YES! but, of coz....
i'm gonna complete the 2 kilometre walk...

*pictures taken above are being editted...princess is always leashed when she goes out (exceptions only in tampines park & east coast park, depending on situations) *

mummy is so anal!!!
Mood:  don't ask
Topic: lazy thoughts
mummy embarrASSed me @ the park, earlier today *huff huff*
it's bad enough that she expressed my anal sacs, BUT she further humiliated me by doing it in the public! and may i remind you that it was administered in the park that i always go to... *growl*
a bruised anus & bruised ego, indeed!
note: she usually express my anal glands when she's giving me a bath.

food is my religion, & i'm being excommunicated!
i wish mummy isn't that hard- hearted....she only gives me dry food *huff*
she also decreed to everybody @ home not to feed me other than my cold dry food ...*sob sob*
mummy says i'm a choosy eater...oh, please! i just love varieties, not dry food....i think that's what makes mummy & i so compatible *giggle* FOOD!!! we just cannot resist it!

princess' aspiration...or none @ all?
Mood:  lazy
Topic: lazy thoughts
honestly, i've been greatly inspired by those working dogs, when i watched the discovery channel's 'animals' planet'...
they took advantage of their natural instincts and abilities to help law enforcers/ disabled owners to accomplish tasks.
however,it seems pretty tough to earn their 'per diems' (a.k.a FOOD!) ...
well, i'm mighty glad to be a 'toy dog', or you can say: a lounge dog...with all the luxuries...*giggle*

i've a goofy sleeping position ... i usually get sleepy after 10pm, but if mummmy is still watching tv programs, i will just tuck myself comfortably on mummy's legs, and doze off...
i'm not a crepuscular puppy...
like all pooches, i dream out my fantasies too...like catching birds, running against the wind, playing hide & seek or eating cheese treats, etc.
i will twitch my paws or make some happy noises... *giggle*

fashion sense
Mood:  not sure
Topic: lazy thoughts
This year has seen an explosion of new pampering products for man's furry friends, among the more unusual of which is a fragrance designed to neutralise the sexual scent of female dogs, a study said on Tuesday.

The products -- mostly aimed at cats and dogs -- also include weight loss supplements, sun screen and stress relief sprays, alongside cosmetics like nail polish and hair colour highlights, said the report by research group Mintel.

"For many pet owners, their animals are as loved and pampered as their own children, and deserve to be groomed and cared for with the best products," said Mintel spokesperson David Jago.

"On an extreme level, we have even seen products that allow pets to mimic their owners' beauty regimes."

Amongst the more unusual products, Dutch group Beaphar has introduced No Love Spray, a fragrance aimed at neutralising the sexual scent of female dogs.

If you just want to spruce up your pet rather than give him a new look, PT and Son's in Vietnam has introduced Bravo Dog Shampoo, which claims to be colour enhancing and specially formulated for black fur.

To protect pets from sunburn, Espree in Finland introduced Espree Knock-Out, a sunscreen for dogs with sensitive skin, said to remain effective for up to six hours.

In the United States, Nala Barry Laboratories introduced under the Pet Organics brand, No-Stress Behaviour Modification Spray, said to reduce anxiety, jumping, chewing, scratching and nervousness in cats and dogs.

"Pets have for some time been seen as a type of fashion accessory, particularly amongst the celebrity set, with the likes of Paris Hilton, Uma Thurman and Geri Halliwell rarely seen without their dog in a bag," Jago said.

"These owners are now truly living up to the age old adage of pet owners looking just like their pets," Jago said. - Sapa-AFP

another report:
Pretty nails are also the newest sensation from U.S. company John Paul Pet. They have introduced Nail Lacquer for Cats and Dogs, a fast drying gloss with nail fortifiers, available in 12 colors. Moving into the fragrance front, South Africa's Kyron Laboratories has introduced Purl Freshness Spray, a baby-powder scented dog grooming spray that doubles as a deodorant and moisturizer.
Stress prevention is also a hot topic in the pet arena. On the stress-free front in the U.S., Nala Barry Laboratories introduced Pet Organics No-Stress Behavior Modification Spray, said to reduce anxiety and nervousness in cats and dogs. Creative Sweets in the U.S. also launched Chill Pills under the Sock Puppet brand. These anti-stress pills contain naturally occurring amino acids used for travel sickness, nervousness and everyday stress.

Another key pet wellness topic is weight control. With obesity in people hitting the forefront of major health discussions, pets are in the hot seat as well. Pet Naturals of Vermont in the U.S. launched K-9 Carb Down, a weight loss supplement containing a Phase 2 Pet Starch Neutralizer that claims to produce an average weight loss of 88 percent for dogs.
***************************************************
some rich & loony human beings responded to pets' 'needs' over-passionately, it's scary!
pets maybe an extension of their owners' lifestyle, but certainly this is preposterous!
you think i will consider LV or Gucci bag fashionable? you think i'm able to appreciate a diamond choker?
but it seems many well-to- do pet owners are buying into the marketers' ploy. or probably, pets are just another fashion accessory to them?

but of course, dogs are lucky to have these kind of owners to pamper them...albeit over-zealous, & potentially dangerous? the owners believe, erroneously, that pets are as guilty of vanity as they do...

wierd human beings: people who are often uncooperative, unsympathetic, loony, absurd and, at times, violent. where's animals' rights?! bring in PETA!

animals deserve consideration of their best interests...please respect the dog's right not to have pain or discomfort unnecessarily inflicted upon him or her.

words of wisdom
Mood:  hug me
Topic: lazy thoughts

If a dog was the teacher, you would learn lots of important stuff like:
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joy-ride.
Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.
When it's in your best interest, practice obedience.
Let others know when they've invaded your territory.
Take naps. Stretch before rising.
Run, romp, and play daily.
Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.
On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout; run right back and make friends.
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you have had enough.
Be loyal.
Never pretend to be something you're not.
If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.
