recently, there's this denger fever scare in this sunny island....and one of the dengue hotspots is 1 street away from where i stay....*sigh* you should know my grandma by now (being protective). i'm not supposed to go out to the park, in case i got sting!
so, my buddy will come & play 'catching' with me, so that i can get some exercize.
anyway, being bored, i began to read some pet news around the globe:
case no. 1:
a st. bernard puppy survives, after swallowing a 13- inch knife!!! *gasp* i don't get it!? i thought all my paw pals hated the 'metallic' feel? we all hate to step on anything that's made of aluminuim, metal, iron, etc...as far as i know, i'll avoid stepping on manholes, by jumping over it (tho' i hate to exert my energy like that)....
my point is: i do pick up stuff on the floor to my mouth...but...but...a 13inch metal (nonetheless, with sharp blade!) ???!!
case no. 2:
2 separate accidents in sydney, involving a dog ripping off a child's face. one is a pet, the other an indentified dog (with an un-identifiable owner).
gruesome...why would my paw mates do that? i'm from sydney, but i don't have that innate aggression....could it be, the children were innocently antagonizing the dogs?
case no. 3:
'Oprah Winfrey' (or her crew?) & Matthew McConaughey tried to 'show-off' in front of camera (to the the american public) that they are involved in a 'pets' rescue efforts in an abandoned hospital during the aftermath of new orleans...tsk tsk...
'What she didn't tell viewers is that McConaughey and the Oprah crew jumped into the effort after two Dallas companies had already begun the rescue: Tenet Healthcare Corp. and Aviation Services Group Inc., which Tenet had hired to evacuate its hospitals.'(quote)
