i saw mummy & granny left the house, early in the morning...they dragged with them 2 big luggages.
*sigh* they are going to bangkok ; while i, worried about my next meal....
well, i was delighted to see my buddy later in the morning...but i thought we are going for an outing...instead, she took me to her room...yes, for the next 5 days *grumble grumble* so all alone

the natural catastrophe that recently devasted new orleans, is a horrifying despair.
thousands had been killed. the whole city is sacked & uninhabitable. the lucky ones fled from their homes, but lost everything. also, many were forced to evacuate, without their pets.
many dogs were euthanized, abandoned or forcibly taken away...

It seems surreal, worse than 11 September because of the slow federal response to rush to the aid of the victims.
when finally allowed to enter the hurricane-ravaged new orleans, more than 300 pets were found stranded ,and team from The Humane Society of the United States are desperately trying to save these abandoned victims.

its officially the lunar 8th month, and i'm reverting to my normal walking hours *hooray*
BUT, its been raining heavily these few days, & i'm being cooped up @ home, hoping the rain wil go away. it didn't happen for the past few days.*grumble*
miraculously, the sun is out today! so, i begged my buddy to call mummy to bring me out to my usual haunt (the tampines park, where else?) ...
mummy agreed to pick me up @ 6pm, after her work....

i knew mummy is on 'graveyard' shift tonight when i saw her taking a nap in the afternoon earlier...
as you all know by now, i can't sleep without her scent, and i won't allow her to go to work for night shifts... i'll pull her jeans & refused to let go.
so, today, mummy called my buddy so that i'm tricked into going out for a walk in pasir ris (instead of my usual tampines park), while she can maneuver her 'getaway'!
*huff huff* i'm furious when i reached home. i ran out to the park to ask my friends if they had seen my mummy. but only blackie saw mummy walking hurriedly to the mrt station.
*sob sob* i'm so hurt....
mummy don't love me...she don't love me... she don't want me anymore...
i ran everywhere to look for her...but she'd rather go to work...she sneaked away from me!

this afternoon, mummy called me to say that she'll be back in 2 hour's time. and then, she'll take me out for a walk after she unpacked.
i was so delighted, i decided to go ahead & went downstairs to wait for her by the roadside.
but, it was such a sunny day! i couldn't stand the heat any longer , and eventually, retreated to the public seating area to wait patiently for my mummy.
well, as i was eating my yogurt, mummy keeps rattling on & on & on & on about her trip...
she AIN'T talkative, she's my mummy! *giggle*

wooosh.... my buddy took me to the beach last saturday. i didn't expect to meet some of my friends there, and all of them wants to take a picture with me *giggle*
i was there from 12pm til 11pm... it was a not-so-hot afternoon & a very very windy evening, couldn't be better.

mummy isn't in singapore. she went to an indonesia island for 3days. whereas, uncle jeff & auntie ruth went to bangkok ...
naturally, i was stressed out from the separation. granny was watching tv program, and grandpa was smoking away in his corner...
i had a nervous attack & started howling...(i never howl, its an awful task...itchy to my throat).
granny flipped... she stared @ me with horror in her face...
'now i get her attention!' i began to howl some more, gleefully...
in a second, she rushed into the room, & hang an old jade around me...and start praying...
i scratched my head, clueless... why is she reacting this way? i'm only want her to keep me company...

gosh! i finally found out why granny went into a frenzy. she thought i saw 'ghosts' (since its the lunar 7th month, aka hungry ghost month).the older generation of chinese community believed that dogs howl only when they see spirits...(a taboo, since its associate with impending death).
great! now i've made granny panic...i'm afraid i'll be slapped with tighter curfews, since i can't talk to defend myself *sigh*
well, i guess she only wants to protect my 'safety' from those 'dirty' things. she is so adorable, eh?
did i ever tell you that i 'see' spirits all the time, everywhere & everytime? its nothing scary or anything...not only during the lunar 7th month.... hmmm... all my paw friends can 'see' them too.

oh, i could be so lucky today! granny had a dinner to attend. so, being quick witted, i called my buddy to take me to tampines park, so that i can meet my friends. i have not seen them for about 2 weeks already.
what a warm reception i got from them! they were surrounding me and licked me all over *giggle* i didn't know i was so much missed by them....

hammer called me this morning to asked me if i would like to keep him company @ home as a guard dog since i'm available.
swell! anyway, its been raining the whole morning & i don't think i'll go down for walks later. the grass will be wet. i prefer to have hammer for companionship.
so, auntie jenise fetch me to her house, & we do what dogs are capable of...protect our owners' properties!
however, as soon i took on the role as a guard dog, i regretted it immensely! why!? its an exhausting job! get a burglar alarm! *giggle* tempjob

i wish i could go back to my normal walking routine, but alas! granny wouldn't hear of it. so, here i am in the tampines park alone, without any paw friends to play with me. i'm counting down the days when i can run around the park to socialize with all my pals.another 12days to the lunar 8th month....
